Coleman was born in Blackpool Lancashire. She attended Arnold School in Blackpool. In her time as headgirl, she scored straight A marks in her A-Levels. If Coleman was asked about her Emmerdale role she replied that she regrets having not had the typical university experience. Coleman performed as Crystal Clear at the Edinburgh Festival with a company named In Yer Space, which she participated in when she was in the school. The play also got an enthusiastic reception. She was awarded with an award for her exceptional performance. Coleman was offered the role as Jasmine Thomas at Emmerdale while performing in drama school in 2005. Coleman won two awards in the year 2007. She won The Best Newcomer in the British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. The British Soap Awards 2009 nominated her in both the Best Actress - Sexiest Feminine and the category for Best Dramatic Performance. Coleman is nominated as Best Actress by the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat announced at a Doctor Who press conference on 21 March that Coleman has replaced Karen Gillan as the companion of the Doctor following Arthur Darvill left the series, would be playing the role of Matt Smith. Moffat chose to choose her for the role as she had the most chemistry Smith. Additionally, she was faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She has been active in the industry since 1987, and has appeared in many TV and film projects. Her most well-known work is her TV work than the film industry. Eva has had many TV roles, but the roles of Dr. Maria Santos from All My Children and Detective Natalia Boavistas from CSI Miami have stood out. Her first TV role earned two Daytime Emmy nominations, and helped her develop her love for music. In addition to being an actor, Eva is a philanthropist and an businesswoman. Eva has three husbands, and a child from the second.
