One of her personal highlights was getting selected to be part of Snoop at the YouTube Brandcast, in May 2013 and composing songs in spite of the chaos over the last few years. Songwriting is an inspiration to hopeful producers. Niykee listens constantly to beats and finds many which spark thoughts. In just 5 minutes that I know if a particular beat is worth it. After that, I get the idea of a song's whole concept within my head, and then I start to write. I get the words when I'm on my porch, playing my guitar. It usually takes under 30 minutes. Niykee keeps working on her skills as a poet and lyricist. She says that the trauma she endured in the past is a constant source of unique inspiration. Niykee says that, even when she is not writing about events that have actually happened, all of her pain through her childhood and losing her younger sister makes its way into the music. My songs are formed by this and I sense the deep meaning behind everything. It's among the things that is most crucial to me.
