KateCatherine Elizabeth Middleton was conceived in the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading. The oldest of three kids, with the younger sister Philippa Charlotte, and an older brother named James William. Carole, her mother worked as an air attendant and Michael as a flight dispatcher for British Airways. They got married on June 21 in 1980. They then founded Party Pieces, a successful mail order company that sells decoration and party items in 1987. Catherine was able to move with her family from the United Kingdom to Amman, Jordan in 1984. Her father was an British Airways pilot for 2 1/2 years. Catherine, her older sister Philippa was a student at an Jordan preschool.
