sylvester stalloneSylvester Stallone was originally born July 6, 1946 in Hell's Kitchen as Michael Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone. Stallone is the son of the elder of Francesco "Frank" Stallone Sr., an Italian hairdresser, aswell as Jackie Stallone Sr., an astrologer/dancer. He has a younger brother named Frank Stallone, who is a musician and actor. Complications during childbirth caused the left lower portion of Sylvester's face disabled, giving him his now-iconic "snarling" appearance and somewhat slurred speech. Stallone spent some of his first years in foster care due to the volatile relationship between his parents. After that, the couple broke up. Stallone was a drama student at American College in Switzerland, before transferring to the University of Miami. Before completing his degree at the end of the year, he left the school and relocated to New York City in order to pursue a career in acting.
